What’s the LGPS
The LGPS is one of the largest pension schemes in the UK. It’s a defined benefit pension scheme. This means your pension is based on your salary and how long you pay into the scheme. Your pension isn’t affected by how well investments perform. The LGPS gives you a secure and guaranteed income every year when you stop working.
It’s managed by 86 local Pension Funds in England and Wales. This website is for two of those local Funds, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire. You can find more general information about the LGPS on the national members website.
